About Me
I am an emphatic social worker with a strength-based perspective, utilizing years of experience navigating healthcare systems and advocating for clients to inform in my work as a doula. I have found these skills are pertinent when working with vulnerable populations such as black and brown women, LGBTQ+ persons, minors, refugees, immigrants, and those experiencing high-risk pregnancies. Initially, I stepped into birth work through friends and clients needing spiritual and emotional support and seeking to bolster trust in their instincts and bodies to get them through the journey to parenthood. As a doula, I use a holistic approach to care and will be sensitive to your needs, respect your choices, and amplify your voice to achieve positive health outcomes and your desired birth experience. I am looking forward to speaking with you to discuss joining your birth team.
